E mail problems !!!

I have 2 e.mail accounts on my iPad mini one works perfectly fine but I am unable to send anything to trash on the second one.My first acct is due to be discontinued by my service provider in a month please help me try and get this sorted. I can physically put the mail in the trash bin but when I go back to the inbox it is still there. I've tried going into settings but I can't see anything obvious that is not right.

 

does anyone have any ideas?,

    Yes, this happens with some email services.  I have one as well.  It's at their end, you just have to wait for their servers to catch up.  For me it can take one or two days.

    You could try to see if you could get into advanced settings of your mail account on the phone  and verify that deleted e-mails go into trash/deleted on "the server". See if that helps. If that does not help - try to verify if you are using IMAP or POP account.

    Make sure the SMTP Settings/Ports of your Mail Account haven't changed with your service provider, as you may have been able to receive the e-mails.  But, you may not be able to send the request to remove anything from your webmail inbox if any settings have been changed etc..

     

    In case you have changed any settings for your Apple ID, make sure the e-mail address in question is verified..
