Aug 21, 2013 6:01 AM in response to TAKS3by Brad Wright2,Make sure there are no other Wi-fi networks around when you are connecting to the bluetooth speaker. If your air waves are full of Wi-Fi signals, you probably won't be able to connect the two devices.

Aug 21, 2013 2:40 PM in response to Brad Wright2by TAKS3,Thanks...I took this device camping where there are no wifi signals or cell service...but no luck.
As mentioned previously, my BB Bold & iPhone5 connect easily to this device....my iPad 2 doesn't even recognize this particular Toshiba device model. Toshiba seems to feel it is an Apple issue.
I've disabled my bluetooth keybd and rebooted the iPad, however, same result.

Aug 21, 2013 3:15 PM in response to TAKS3by I Picked This Username,It looks like the Toshiba TY-SP1 only supports iPad 3rd Generation or Higher, as the iPad 2 only uses Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Technology, and the Toshiba TY-SP1 uses Bluetooth 3.0+ EDR Technology etc..
Bluetooth 4.0 is backwards compatible with most Bluetooth Protocols, if i'm not mistaken.. (iPad 4)

Dec 6, 2013 12:07 PM in response to TAKS3by Buckybuckronbellar,I have one of these, and it works just fine with my iPad 2 on iOS7. When I use it, there is even a battery level icon for the speaker that pops up next to the Bluetooth icon.
