Q: Create interactive gallery that acts like an animation when you move finger across the screen?

Hi there

This would be for an ibook widget which I'm trying to create in iad producer

I'm trying to create an interactive gallery that acts like an animation when the user drags their finger across the ipad screen.

It would basically act like a flip book animation where still images would appear one after another quickly which would create the illusion of movement in the images.

I've created this in flash but i was wondering if iad producer can also do this with the gallery view?

Need some pointers please

Thank you

The 360º object is exactly what you need.  Drop one on your page then drop your images on top and a cell will be created for each one. -M

Fabulous! thank you so very very much!

I wish I'd asked earlier as that would have saved me a whole day of faffing around with javascript!

    Thanks again!

    Sorry Mark Malone,

    I've got one more question

I want to put a slider object underneath aswell. Can i link the slider to the user dragging their finger across the screen to "turn" the images?

I want to create something like the ibook  "Life on Earth", page 26 by E.O. Wilson's

I'm just not sure how to link the slider, as i haven't used iad producer before.

    Thanks again

You bet. Drop a Slider on the page, open the Inspector and set the Slider's min value to 0 and the max value to the number of cells in the 360° view minus 1.

Then listen for the slider control value change by selecting the Slider, clicking the Code button and choosing "Did Change Value"  from the Add Event Handler drop-down menu.

In your function, get a reference to the 360° object and set its focusedIndex property to the value of the slider.
