Q: Rebuilding Color Filter (ColorFX) set?

I had to reinstall my FCP Studio (FCP7, etc), and backed-up the drive before I remembered that I had filters (ColorFX) I had downloaded from a user site that has since closed its website (ColorUser.net).  I have them in a folder, on a separate drive.  I've no idea how I installed them into Color (e.g., Blockbuster.colorgrade, Dragan effect.colorgrade, etc.) Can anyone guide through this?  It's hard to search because most of the results point me to the act of color grading, not importing color corrections into Color.  Thank you.

If these are specific grades, I think you can just open the grade in color.  If you've worked in color, you should know how to save a grade and load it into a different project.  Don't have the time to walk you thru this right now, but post back if this isn't the solution.

Michael, yep I'll need more help.  I found another request similar in nature: "Installling New Color Looks for Color 1.5 - Invalid Location?"  An answer offered this tip...Press the GO menu heading in the finder and hold, then press and hold the OPTION key.  Actually, nothing changes.  No additional menu item called LIBRARY appears.  I'm in 10.6.8.

My guess is that then I should drag these news 'colorgrades' over to the folder in the library appropriate for Color (1.5.3) but I can't get that far.

    Thanks,

In the color setup panel, in the grades tab, you should be able to navigate to the folder with your saved grade.  Not sure if this is what you're asking, but give it a shot.
