Having a good calendar application is very important and useful.  But with all the complaints as shown in this discussion group it seems to demand a fix for many functions.  I have 3 or 4 duplicate notices on my iPhone and iPad.  Many times I put in an event and sometimes it shows 2, 3 and 4 lines of text but other times it won't show but 1 line even when there is more text there it doesn't show.  Many items don't show at all which makes my iPhone calendar completely useless.

I have an iMac using Snow Leopard and iCal will not sync with iCloud for some reason.  I continually get a message that says, ("The server responded with an error.  The server did not recognize your user name or password for account "xxxxxxx@me.com."  Make sure you enter them correctly.)  I tried to change my password information to correct the problem but it would not except them.  Phone support told me I must upgrade to Lion but I will never do that because I use AppleWorks and iMovie 6HD which is far more important to me.  Those programs no longer work with Lion.

I am looking for another way to utilize a good calendar but would like to be able to rely on Apple for that product.

I might add that my contacts work very well with iCloud but not all with iCal.
