That will replace any missing system files and is applied for troubleshooting.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed then try iTunes.
If that didn't help, restore v10.6 using your install disc > Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard: How to Erase and Install
No need to erase the drive, just follow the instructions for a retore.
When you're done restart your Mac. Then click Software Update from your Apple menu top left in your screen.
That should bring all your software up to date.
