I've been experiencing the exact same thing for the first time last week (Aug 13) and this week as well.
I just contacted iTunes Store support about it.

As an update, I fully removed and reinstalled iTunes (and the various other bits'n'bobs...) according to this:
Needless to say, no improvement.
Anyone else who's having this problem, please email Apple support with details of the issue... to let 'em know there are more than just two of us!

Thanks for the update! I emailed Apple Support notifying them of the issue on Tuesday, heard back Wednesday... they only suggested removing and reinstalling... and if that didn't work, forward screen shots of the issue... never heard back after that!
Better late than never, right?
