Mail is linked to your Address Book so have a look in there.

Maybe the old name they are using is on their computer, recorded back when you were using your old name.
In your Apple Mail, your name is in Mail Preferences > Accounts> Full Name. If that is correct, then perhaps it lies with the customer.

Hi WZZZ, A few weeks ago I logged on to change my password, and then thought I'd take the opportunity to unsubscribe from old topics that still arrive in the in-box that have gone off topic, or old posts revived by a hopeful inquirer.
From there I saw a few questions and so offered a clue here and there, but I intend to keep a pretty light footprint.
To synergy_gd, I hope you got your old name problem sorted out.

No, tried all that my name in accounts is the business name and these are new customers. I just can't think were it could be coming from

The only other place to look is from the Mail menubar, click on Window and choose Previous recipients. It might there with your old tag and if it is, you can remove it from that list.
