Thought that I'd share an update regarding this issue, in case anyone else seeks this out.
The issue that had persisted throughout Logic Pro 9, and continued into Logic Pro X.
Now, here's the kicker....
After the 10.0.2 update, one day for the heck of it, I decided to try the jog wheel on my Tascam FireOne to see if it would move. Not only did it do that, but the transport controls on the unit also work properly. Needless to say, I was very, very pleased.
I haven't tried mapping the function buttons on the unit; I did test out them with their default settings, and they held up for the most part, except for 1 or 2 buttons that just duplicated the function of one of the other buttons. So I haven't tried remapping yet, in which case my hope is that the settings there will hold too.
Looks as if me and my FireOne will be together for awhile longer, particularly since I can use it as my default audio "card" with both the system, and most any application that requires sound. Love this.
Anyhow, thought I'd share....just in case there may be other FireOne users out there.
