Q: My Brand new iPhone 4 8gb, iOS 6.1.3 (10B329) freezes at times, when i get an incoming call, or when I try slide to unlock? Any Help. Thanks in advance.

Once in a while I'm facing this problem with my new iPhone 4 8gb, upgraded to iOs 6.1.3.

The iPhone gets freezed on incoming call or at times when I have to unlock my screen. After few seconds its back to normal. But I tend to miss the phone call. Any Help.??

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore.  Start there.

Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake an dhome buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if this corrects your problem. If not, it could be a problem with the OS. The next user troubleshooting step is a restore from backup. Follow the steps in this support document to restore the device from a backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

If you have performed all of the user troubleshooting, the next step is checking the hardware. Make an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Apple store and have it checked.

    Hi ChrisJ4203:

Could you please tell us how your problem was resolved?  I have had the same issue for years with my iPhone 4 and have not been able to solve it.

    Thanks,

I did not have the problem. I was advising the OP how to try and correct their problem. If you are experiencing the same problem, the same troubleshooting provided to the OP would apply. However, if this problem has been going on for years, then it could be anything causing this. You can try what was posted from restart, reset, restore from backup to restore as new. If nothing changes from there, then have the hardware checked.

I'm going to report the same issue. My  work issued phone (in a hospital of all places) only started this issue after new iOS upgrade.  Never had this issue before. I know it's not the otter box cover because the screen responds to every other program or function. My phone will sit there ringing off the hook in my hand and I cannot unlock  the slider, use any of the buttons, except hard reset (top and home button). I don't think this is safe especially in a hospital environment. When my iphone rings I end up running to find a land line. What a joke to be discussing about a great phone.

    Thanks
