Following the advice to save the data on my iPad, I saved it to a new machine performing a full backup. Already during the back-up process I detected that three of four videos vanished from the iPad display. In order to get them back, I tried a full-restore of the data. In both cases, I used another computer to see the instructions by Apple for both processes and adhered to all steps as required because of my previous encounters with "syncing" and similar actions.

At the end, most of my relevant data have been destroyed. The missing videos are not on the backup. **** knows where they may be. But they are definitely not on the iPad and not on the Mac with the backup. Later, I detected that around 300 photos are lost forever. Various apps were crippled so that I could use them after removing fully and restoring from the App Store. I am not sure what else has been lost because each time I use the iPad, some new issues are detected.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems?
