How do I save a PDF document to my iPad

I want to save several PDF document to my iPad and iPhone.  Since there is no file system, I am looking for the best way to get these files from my iMac to my iOS devices.  I am thinking in DropBox might be the best solution.  Any other thoughts?

    On your iMac, open iTunes.  Choose "Books", then "PDFs" within books.  Then drag your PDF(S) into that area.


    The next time you sync your iPad and iPhone using iTunes, the PDFs should end up on your iOS devices.  The way to access them there is to use the iBooks app.  Open iBooks, click the "Books" button and choose "PDFs", and they should all appear.
