    Hello gahany,

I would recommend connecting the projector, and setting your Display preferences for 'Extended Desktop' via System Preferences -> Displays -> Arrangement.

    Extended desktop

With extended desktop, your displays form one large, continuous desktop.

    1. Make sure each additional display is properly connected and powered on.

    2. From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.

    3. From the View menu, choose Displays.

    4. Click the Arrangement tab.

    5. Disable (uncheck) "Mirror Displays" in the bottom-left corner.

    HI Allen,

Another forum member pointed out to another Community Specialist that your Apple icon blocks out the ? or ticked answered icon out on the front discussion page so no one can see if the issue is still ongoing or if it is solved, there's just an Apple icon.

Is there anyway for it not to block this very helpful front page icon indication for us ordinary users?

    Many thanks

That was me that posted a few comments like yours a week or two ago, they were eventually removed by moderators, possibly because I also made a disparaging comment that the information posted was confusing at best as the posted links did not even relate to the question. Allen's post is probably the most helpful I've seen.

I still think posting generic info in a Pro software forum leans to the cheesy and does not seem very pro at all, so far the "helpers" are batting 1 out of 10.

You know, I thought it was you, Pancenter, who posted before. I went to look for the thread but couldn't find your post for reasons now apparent.

This is now a good example, the thread has a (or should have a) solved tick icon on the front page but it doesn't, it just has an Apple icon. I also agree that in general, the advice given would amount to what a constant user of the forum would reply: RTFM.

Other than that, there does seem to be a general missing of point in a way that hints at an unexperienced Logic user, or should I say, not as experienced as the regulars here.

Think I'm going to post the same text, asking politely, in every thread whose status icon gets obliterated by an Apple icon.
