Hi, Tidy. Thanks for the info.  My book (a paid one) was in the iBookstore after a day.  It took one more day before it showed up in any searches.  I'm fine with that, but would just like to know. It was one more part of the process owned by Apple for which the timetable was unclear.   Not knowing how long to plan for each step is messing up my mental Gantt chart.

Edgar, that's a great idea.  From your keyboard to Apple's product managers and engineers!

Finally after a week, my book got approved yesterday (luckily no tickets). It showed up in the iBookstore after an hour or two. This is still a problem why Apple just doesn't send out a notification when approved or ticketed.

Anyway, the book "Logic Remote - How it Woks" shot up in the iBookstore sales charts today and is already No1 in the Digital Media category. As a side effect, it pushed up some of my other books about GarageBand and Final Cut Pro X to the top of the charts too.

Hi, this is my first post here. My book was published a few days ago and I want to share my experience with you. I uploaded the book on Monday, 12th August and it was live on 51 stores last Saturday, 17th August. I’m glad it took only five days to be released (without any ticket). Because I’ve read this thread from the beginning and I didn’t expect so.

It’s called "Kreuz und quer durch Deutschland. Ein Multi-Touch Bilderbuch". 285 pages, introducing 34 interesting german towns and landscapes in 165 galleries with more than 2.000 photos. Here is a link to the book:

I’ve got one question I hope you can help me with. When I request redeem/promo codes (I understood I can get up to 50 codes), have I to request all 50 at one time or is it possible for instance to take only 25 codes the first time and the next 25 codes two weeks later?

I hope you’ve got an answer for me and thank you very much!

You can define how many codes you want to redeem. You can even redeem only 1 promo code.

As promo codes are only valid for 4 weeks (?), it makes sense to redeem only the codes you need at the moment.

Thank you for your prompt reply, which was very helpful. There is another question I would like to ask. While searching for information on redeem/promo codes I’ve found this site: Redeem-Now.com It looks quite good and comfortable to handle redeem codes. Do anyone know this site from practical experience?

I’ve just tested Redeem-Now.com myself. It’s perfect and quite comfortable to handle.

First iBooks novel (127k words and 1 image at the end) was successfully uploaded on 26-AUG-13.

No tickets yet, but still waiting on quality assurance review approval as of this writing. Will update once know of final / next result.

A timeline update request was promptly answered by Support discussing backlog/delays at this stage, but with no firm date for approval apart from as soon as possible. Just need to be patient is all.

I just checked now again, and still looking at the little red dot and "not on 51 stores"

My guess is it may possibly vary as well by type of book?? (plain text versus say lots of images / graphics).

This first TMI book is a novel, but has embedded icon images to demarcate / delineate chapters and subsections therein. Perhaps that flags it as more complicated for them, and they put the book in a slower stream for approval review. Not sure of course. It would be nice to get to some insight from Apple directly on this whole process, explaining it all, and also some expectations on time to clear.

    Irie then, more patience needed.

TMI Publishing's first book went live late this evening. It was just checked, so it was sometime today. We were surprised to finally see the little green dot as changed from red and the OFF to ON in 51 stores. \

If your's is not already on for different reasons, you may be three days behind maximum me if standard queuing and current backlog applies.

    Good luck, and good night.

I uploaded a 26 page children's graphic book w/ some interaction (tap to hear audio, tap to play stop-motion video and/or tap to see additional imagery) on Friday 9/6—it's configured in iBooks Author. Can anyone direct me to documentation related to:

    - Average time for review of children's graphic novel w/ interaction

    - If I need to continuously check back or will an alert be sent

    Thanks!

My children's picture book took less than 48 hours to post. I was very surprised considering all the posts I'd read stating that the time frame could be up to a month!

    Good luck!

@DFonsecaBooks did you have interaction (tap for audio, play video or to see larger/different images)? This complicates the review process, so would like to understand that.
