download iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - and use its rebuild function - this creates a totally new library leaving yhoru existing oen available if youy still want or need it
And as to Rants - remember you are only speaking with other users here - so they are uncessary and get in the way of us understanding your problem and helping you resolve it
You are absolutely right about the rants. Not something I do in inappropriate places. The two processes took a lot of time and didn't work.
So doing the same thing with iPhoto Library Manager will remedy this problem?
How about dragging and dropping Albums where I want them?
Thank you for your suggestion as well as putting me in check.
Moving albums is a strange issue that I've not seen and many othr have not but many have
Try creating a folder and putting your albums in it - some people have foud that to help - you also can use folders to reduce the number of albums you are dealing with while organizaing - no idea what you have but as an eampe if you ha an album for every town you visited on vacation it woudl be hard to manage - if you made a vacation folder with country folders in it an then town folders in the counrty folders all of a sudden you are dealing with a much more managable set of data to organize
I have not seen a definative answer other than using folders to help
As to IPLM - almost all of the time it doess resolve things - but even then there are people who had to start over (which is not quiet as bad as it sounds - but certainly not great)
The real answer is a good backup so when there is a problem rather than cure it you can go back to a good tiem and move forward from there
