This afternoon the tech site Arstechnia ran a story about a Arabic text string that apparently causes a core text crash in osx browsers and iOS devices. h-string-of-arabic-characters/

Like an idiot, I copied the string into an e mail document and sent it to my g mail account to look at when I got home.   Well, it actually does crash iOS mail.

Mail is dead in both my pad and phone.  Rebooting does nothing.  Has anybody heard of this, or more to the point, any suggestions for getting mail back?

I think I can delete the mail mesage from my g mail accout using a non apple browser, but I have no clue how to scrape it out of the message queue on the phone and pad.
