I rebuilt iphoto6, then my photos disappeared, I assume iphoto reverted to library on original drive so optioned clicked on iphoto startup and selected my library which is on a  separate drive but photos still do not appear but they do exist in the library on the separate drive. How can I see them?

    I rebuilt iphoto6,

What exactly did you do? And why did you do it?

    then my photos disappeared

    What exactly does this mean?

Please explain in detail what you have and where you have libraries - and what format any external drive has - and how it is connected

be sure you are using the library on the external drive and Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library - do each option in order from the top until you get results - if none resolve this then download iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ -  and use its rebuild command
