Sep 4, 2013 11:31 AM in response to Ashima Agrawalby Baby Boomer (USofA),Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

Sep 4, 2013 11:34 AM in response to Ashima Agrawalby poikkeus1,School and routers. There may be something that I don't know about your school's configuration, but I'll presume there's no problem for the moment.
The exclamation point error suggests that you're not getting sufficient signal to go on the internet. The most reliable way to fixing this is by recycling the modem. I don't know what your network situation is, but this usually involves logging of the internet, and signing into your network.
Check back in here with your results.

Sep 4, 2013 11:40 AM in response to poikkeus1by Ashima Agrawal,What is a modem? Sorry not very computer literate in that sense. I've turned off my airport and turned it back on again. Is that the same thing as logging off?
