EEE/EEEE codes: how do I determine compatability?

Ive had the "Spontaneous Display Sleep" problem for a few months now. I reliably narrowed it down to the LCD or inverter board, got a new inverter board (didn't fix it), got a new LCD, and now the display is all black, just fully black. So, before I start thinnking about whether the LCD power supply port on the logic board is shorted out (it looks a little mucked up), I want to make certain the 2 new parts are compatible. Does anyone know of a chart or index or whatever that will tell me what EEE codes (on the inverter board) are compatible with which EEEE codes (on the LCD)? This appears to be some sort of masonic-level hidden knowlege which is olny confered upon those who bear the Apple Certified Forehead Tattoo...
