Sep 8, 2013 12:47 PM in response to Nammyby iW00,★HelpfulMiniDisplay port can be ONLY used to send video signal - NOT video and audio. If you want to have sound played through TV you will need to use another cable connected from audio port on your MBP to audio port on your TV.
HDMI to HDMI will send video + audio - that's the only way to get that done through only 1 cable.

If your model is appearing on the list of supported devices, try hold ALT button and click on the speaker button from the top panel. Check if any other devices is appearing on the list.
