Sep 8, 2013 2:15 PM in response to Kappyby holland2215,I bought it in 2006, super old, i don't think I had an apple I'd back then?
My phone and ipad are only on my apple I'd account.
I've heard you can access it from a system backup?
Thanks,

Sep 8, 2013 2:22 PM in response to holland2215by Kappy,If you can, I'm not aware of how. The OS does not usually keep a record of your computer's serial number because it is accessed from the motherboard's firmware.
If you ever used System Profiler and saved the profile, then you can get it from the saved profile.

Sep 8, 2013 3:21 PM in response to holland2215by Lanny,I would think that you should be able to sit down with the police, turn the Mac on, and demonstrate that something on it would show that you're the owner, i.e., your address in Contacts v.s. your drive'rs license.

If you registered your comp, Apple should still have a record.
Call Apple Customer Relations - 1-800-767-2275. Ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to Customer Relations. Tell them exactly what you stated in your post.
GOOD LUCK!
