Q: wet iphone

dropped iphone in deep end of pool with lifeproof case that has worked well previously.  Camera light is on, cannot type on screen

    obviously it got wet, so why on earth are you trying to use it????

     

    put it in a bag of rice for a few days and let it dry out.

    Here's the thing about waterproof cases; actually, it's the exact same thing as cases that never claimed to be waterproof.

     

    They are all 100% waterproof until they are 100% not waterproof.  If you get your iPhone dried out and operational, create a backup and use that to restore your new iPhone.

     

    If your iPhone never becomes operational again, make sure to keep your new iPhone away from water.  Of course, keeping an iPhone away from water is good advice regardelss of the circumstances.
