So this has been an on going problem with  my phone since the last update.  My phone is  constantly dropping my home wifi also it will not connect to my work wifi which it did before the update.  Both networks are password protected and yes I have the passwords right. I've b een working with apple to get this problem fixed. Ive went as far as sending my phone in  they were able to recreate the problem so they sent me a brand new phone well its still doing the same things. Anyone else having this problem and fixed it.  Thanks,

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1

IF you received a brand new phone from Apple and your still having issue, then maybe the problem is with the routers.

You can try a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

IF that doesn't work, then go to settings - general - reset - reset network setting.

What actually happens when you select a wifi to connect to?

Have you tried turning the router off at the wall waiting 30 secondds and turn it back on

Unplug your router and wait minute or two and then plug it back in and see what happens.

For your work do you have an IT dept that can assist you?

Go to a public wifi like Starbucks and see if you can connect.

It's likely that the update included new definitions or profiles for wifi that your routers are having trouble with. This doesn't indicate that anything is broke, just that iPhones on the newest software are going to have issues with that configuration of wifi. If you have access to your router's settings, try connecting on a different chanel or disabling the security to see if the phone connects that way. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199 has some recomended settings, but you may find that changing the name of your network or the security that you are using will fix this issue.
