Sep 10, 2013 2:13 AM in response to gavra76by King_Penguin,You've searched your Mac for them and checked the Trash ? If it was an iTunes purchased album then depending upon what country that you are in, and if it is still in the store, you might be able to re-download it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page :
If music shows as an option there (it doesn't in all countries), then is that album shown ? If it is then it might have 'downloaded' against it as opposed to the cloud symbol, in which case the album from your library (where you are getting the exclamation marks) and it should then change to the cloud symbol for re-downloading. If it doesn't show in Purchased but other music does and the album is still in the store then check to see if it's hidden : hiding and unhiding.
If you can't re-download music and don't have a copy of it in your backup of your library and it's still in the store then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Sep 10, 2013 12:37 PM in response to King_Penguinby gavra76,Thx for your answer but it did not work. I think I bought that album when still living in the US, now I live in Europe, have a different account. But in my oppinion it should still work because I did not buy a CD but straight to iTunes which means I can not just enter the CD back in, but it does not give me the option for a re-download…

Sep 10, 2013 12:48 PM in response to gavra76by King_Penguin,You don't have a copy of it on a backup drive or an an iOS device that you could copy it back from ? Re-downloading isn't available in all European countries. If you know which account that you bought it with then you could see if iTunes Support will allow you to re-download it.

Sep 10, 2013 1:57 PM in response to gavra76by King_Penguin,You could try contacting iTunes Support and see if it can be restored to your purchased list, or try asking for a redownload, as you are still in a country where music can be redownloaded and that album is in your store

May 11, 2014 11:53 PM in response to rolihbby King_Penguin,The exclamation mark means that the actual music files are no longer where your Mac's or PC's iTunes is expecting to find them. Have you moved or deleted any folders on your computers ? Or is your library on an external drive and that drive isn't connected to your computer, or with your PC is it conneced but with a different drive letter ?
