Q: Individually restore apps from icloud backup

I chose to reset and erase all settings on my iphone 4 because I had a problem with receiving and sending messages and the "genious associates" at the apple store told me that it was a file in my iphone causing the problem. So what I should do, they advised, is I should reset the iphone4 and restore each file individually, since I did not know which one caused the problem. I reset it and now I want to restore only my apps without using the all-in-one bulk icloud restoration. Is that possible?
