Is there a way to preset the iphone to automatically put +1 in front of any number dialed that is not already preeset in the contacts?

No. Manual dial is manual dial. Just press the 1 then the number. How hard is that?

In the U.S. and Canada, you don't need to put a 1 at the beginning of a number to make a long distance call on a cell phone.

    Best of luck.
