It may or may not work with it, but if the carrier is not on this list, it is not "supported". http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937

No idea what you're talking about. What T-Mobile logo?

Ahhh... I see. Unlocked is unlocked. T-Mobile has chosen not to subidise iPhones (or any phones) and simply sells the unlocked version. T-Mobile customers will probably get priority, though. You'll have to wait until they go on sale to see if you're not a T-Mobile customer. It should work just as well as your unlocked 4 does, though it may not work with their LTE network (assuming they have one).

That's the confusing part.  In the past here in the US the unlocked iPhone came 4-6 months after the phone normally came out.  Even then it had to be purchased from Apple not a carrier.

This time they immediately mention the unlocked iPhone5S, but seem to point that you must get it from T-Mobile, not Apple.

So does that mean if we want an unlocked iPhone5S we 'must' not get it from T-Mobile?  If so would it work with other carriers, especially outside of the US?

The literature says the unlocked iPhone5S is model A1533 (GSM) which happens to be the same on the British and Aussie Apple sites.

The other thing that is confusing relates to the iPhone5S SIM card.  It mentions that the Nano-SIM with the iPhone5C is not compatible with the existing micro-SIM cards.  Questions is will the Nano-SIM from my iPhone5 fit into the iPhone5S?

As far as my understanding goes, this will be the first time Apple will sell Unlocked iPhone on the launch date, and yes you mentioned the model number correclty. but you can buy the unlocked version directly from an apple store, you dont need to go to T-Mobile for that

And the iPhone5S will use the SIM from the iPhone5?

    Hi Sunny ,

Where did you see the sell of IPhone 5S on the launch day ? i called apple and they don't even know when , AT&T (which i am interested to get their system ) told me that they will not have unlocked (no contract ) iphone 5s for months .

I really need to get one before my long travel on Oct 10th , do you have any solid and sure news that they (apple) will sell those on Sep 20 ?

    Appreciate .

    Regards

sorry, i didnot enter here for long, even though both apple and at&t say they dont sell iphone 5s on launch day, but as now time has passed, there are numerous articles to confirm what i said to you that both apple and at&t indeed sold iPhone 5s unlocked on launch date, google it for proof!
