It sounds like there is a problem with the iTunes installation that tells you it needs to be uninstalled and re installed.
I would follow the troubleshooting in this article named Trouble installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows found http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926.
It should help you get iTunes installed successfully.
