Sep 11, 2013 11:06 PM in response to Linc Davisby laura6j,I have tried all the easy things, but I would rather not turn icloud off in system preferences and have my events taken off my calendar. Is there another way to fix this?

Sep 12, 2013 12:47 AM in response to laura6jby Linc Davis,Merely turning off iCloud should not cause any irreversible changes to your calendar or anything else. That said, you should of course back up all data before doing anything else.
Please describe in detail what happened when you took all the applicable steps in the support articles. That's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem.

Sep 12, 2013 11:36 AM in response to Linc Davisby laura6j,When I go to system preferences to turn off icloud it comes up with a message saying calendars stored in icloud will be deleted from my mac. Since my icloud calendars are not actually on the icloud, but just show up on my mac, then i assume they will be lost if I say okay to the message. Do you think they will not be deleted from my mac?

That's right, but they won't be deleted from iCloud or from your other devices. When you connect to iCloud again, the calendars should resynchronize. That said, as a precaution you should back up your iCloud data anyway by following the instructions here:
iCloud: Archiving or making copies of your iCloud data
Since my icloud calendars are not actually on the icloud, but just show up on my mac, then i assume they will be lost if I say okay to the message.
Back up all data before making any changes.

Sep 12, 2013 4:22 PM in response to Linc Davisby laura6j,Ok, so I expect most of my events to be deleted then since none of them are not appearing on icloud. They are on my icloud calendar on my mac, but are not actually transfered to icloud. Sounds like I will have to back everything up and replace it all once I reset icloud.
