Sep 14, 2013 2:49 AM in response to Blaydz95by mende1,The Apple USB SuperDrive only works with Macs without a built-in disc drive, so it won't work plugged to a TV. What you can do is to connect the Apple USB SuperDrive to the computer, and connect the computer to your TV. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5019

Sep 14, 2013 4:12 AM in response to Blaydz95by Gary Scotland,The Apple superdrive will not work as the TV does not recognise the player as a compatible device.
Use a dedicated DVD player connected to the TV using HDMI or analogue, they cost from £30 upwards.

Sep 14, 2013 4:26 AM in response to Blaydz95by Rudegar,tv's with usb ports mostly have a very very limited list of what they support from the usb
most only support usb sticks with photos or videos on
some support a wifi dongle and that type of thing
usb is a digital serial interface and require software drivers in order to use devices
some drivers are pretty generic like the lised support features earlier those are build into the tv's software
