Frankly I think itunes is insulting POS; particulary this last version. I think the UI stinks and I think its poor speed and performance stinks. I mean REALLY? What is the problem? Can't you get it right already! It's been how many years now? REALLY!
I'd give anything for another CHOICE to use with my MAC. Have seriously been considering moving all my music to another format and using a windows product. At least there are choices over on that side.

Itunes on windows is a joke, Try foobar2000
Apple hardware is fine as long as you aren't planning to change the configuration
IOS is stable, but Apple dictates what you can and can't do.
But itunes stinks, users who like it have probably never used an other program so they don't know what they are missing.
I hate i-tunes, use it as little as possible . It is not intuitive, there are a lot of possibilities lacking, fine tuning the sync function ??? If you want a HDD full of copies use itunes. If you want a hart attack of frustration use this amateuristic program.
for windows users a tip: use Disk-aid in conjuction with Foobar2000 (with I-Phone,i-POD and i-pad plugin) in stead

I finally gave up. so long ITUNES. The casual user wanted the nice stable application of itunes. Your changes have
really frustrated me to no end. I used to use it for entertaining and enjoyed using the ipod as a remote to the pc. This new software demands you expend time ( working folks have less of ) and re-educate yourself on the new ways to do things. If I have to re-educate each update i'll go back to the old technology. Less frustrating and can enjoy what I purchased. SEE YA!!!!!!

I wish it were cause i'd get my old one back also. I've had nothing but problems with the new one. Especially with the syncing and transfering books from the library on overdrive

As far as bloated software goes this one takes the cake. Seems to happen when the programming directives come from non technical corporate executives. These idiots are pounding the table "Make the user spend more money!!!! Hide every feature that doesn't make me moneyyy!!!". A few rounds of this might be ok; after a point it ruins the software. But who cares, the execs got their huge bonus for the quarter. Time to move on and milk the next piece of software.

The new iTunes is the worst ever. Steve Jobs will be turning in his grave. Whoever designed this needs to be put up against the wall and be pelted with iPods. It is the worst one ever. It defies logic and most of the right click menus don't exist. I have got to the point where I am not using it for my music anymore. I use my iPad for apps and books. That's it. Time to move on from apple crap.

Oh how I wish I had read these post before I upgraded to this monstrosity of a piece fo software. Every time I click on a name to either add or edit it I have a five minute delay. It does not even play the tune you click on straight away now - there is a delay for that. Adding a play list is now frustrating as ****.
The format is changed, as far as I can see just for the sake of it. I've sure they have some great ideas and tried to implment them but I'm now on the way to god forbid spotify !!! WHat choice do I have ?
If there is a fix do we all get an email telling us this or do we just never load iTunes again ?

Just another user to note that Apple lost another 3 iPhone sales (and never another ipad) from this fiasco called iTunes 11. Mom and dad are going to Android, and probably going back to blackberry for me (spouse likes her old Aria with the galaxy background but was looking at the iPhone too). I can make a backiup, date it annd keep it in case of failure. iTunes got rid of all the features that made it great, with no explanation. So, I have multiple backups from years ago (several versions of itunes back) but no longer can I do that. Buyt wait! There will be iTunes Pro that will do that, and only costs more $$ - well, not yet, but I can see it coming, much as M$ is monetizing their software that was previously part of the OS (win8 and windows media center, anyone?). Thank ghu for backups or I would never see my songs again

Please Apple, give us our iTunes back. I didn't complain when you downgraded iMovie or took away my .Mac account, even iPhoto's frustrating iterations I can deal with but seriously the new iTunes is absolutley unusable.
I have never in my life gone out of my busy day to complain about anything on the internet much less an overcrowded forum but enough is enough.
I am an original apple user, I remember when the best application was 'mac draw' and I can remember when buying an apple meant you would have the computer that made sense.
Please, make this right we're counting on you.

Due to 'upgrade' iPhone 4 to 5S due any day soon, IOS7 isn't supported on my current iTunes version 10.
Bit the bullet and took the 'upgrade' to 11.1.0. at least IOS7 went into my iPhone 4 and all my apps/music/etc are still there in my iPhone (unlike a previous vers 11 'upgrade', which lost all my apps and music).
Will see how it goes when my 5S comes along already loaded with IOS7 and see if it takes my apps/music.
I backed up (moved to a USB drive) all my .IPA files, music and photos just to be on the safe side.
Still hate the UI of Vers 11. But if it backs up my iPhone and keeps the same on the phone itself. then that's all I'll use it for. Which does seen a big over kill though.
