how do I get safari back it suddenly won't open and says "safari quit unexpectedly"

I can't get safari to open.. keeps saying safari quit unexpectedly..I restarted, unplugged the pc and modem and still won't work

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

    The next time Safari crashes, copy and paste the entire report in your Reply. That should reveal the problem.

    Have her sign in to Apple Support Communities then post a copy of the crash report.

    She needs to update Safari.


    The only way to do that on a Mac running v10.7.5 is to startup the Mac while holding down the Command + R keys so she can access the built in utilities to restore the operating system using OS X Recovery


    Be aware, OS X Recovery requires a high speed broadband connection.


    And backup all your important files before repairing or restoring OS X just in case.

    Yes. Reinstall OS X.
