Can anyone reccomend a better place to look for a solution to this problem, besides the official Bootcamp forums.

Just the usb for the drivers that Bootcamp downloads.
I have also tried without that inserted at all, and the solution I read about pulling it out and plugging it into a different slot after getting the error.
If it is able to get to that point though it must have whatever is needed, and the error seems irrelevant....

Unplug it, do not plug it back in until after the install completes. The drivers are installed while Windows is running, not before.

I have tried that with each ISO/Disc I have used.
Each one I tried:
- USB in
- USB out
- USB switched to different slot after the error and click install again
I have also tried off of an external USB Superdrive, but it apparently won't allow any booting off of that. Tried all the different discs anyways.

I know this might be too little too late but I followed this guide and got this working today:
Just in case it helps!
