Sep 17, 2013 9:07 PMby Guillermo in Mérida,Update to my own post: Following some advice from others with very similar problem, I rebooted my MBP and also ran Disk Utility to repair permissions -- and, presto -- audio via HDMI returned. Of course, I know that I should have tried that "first thing to do, always" approach before posting, but did not this time. We shall see if the fix sticks...

Sep 17, 2013 10:32 PMby ahortin,You sir, are awesome! I've just ran Repair Permissions on my machine and my audio seems to be working better now too. I've just been able to put my Mac Mini to sleep and when I've then woken it up, the audio would play as normally. Prior to this, when I was waking it up, the Audio wouldn't play. Thank you very much for the suggestion. Fingers crossed it continues to work!
