Sep 19, 2013 4:22 AM in response to Steve Nichollsby MarkLSana,I went into settings and turned switch control on for ios7. I also turned scanning off so I don't see the blue highlight box moving around different options. I locked my phone and when I tried to unlock it nothing happens. The screen doesn't respond to touch but the phone is working. Siri and all the external buttons work.

Sep 19, 2013 4:27 AM in response to MarkLSanaby Steve Nicholls,I don't have anything in Settings called Switch control.
Please detail all steps you are taking to get to this, so for example to turn on Location Services you'd go to:
Settings->Privacy->Location Services

Sep 19, 2013 4:36 AM in response to MarkLSanaby Steve Nicholls,★HelpfulMark, I've got you.... yes Switch Control is in:
Settings->Accessibility
You do have to scroll down quite a way, and you'll come to a heading of "Physical & Motor" it's the first switch there.
If your phone isn't responding try a reset - hold down the power and home keys until Apple logo is displayed.
Hope this helps,
Steve

Sep 19, 2013 4:45 AM in response to Steve Nichollsby MarkLSana,Thanks for going through some trouble trying to help me but I just realized I didn't state my entire scenario.
My phone is locked and I'm unable to unlock it. The only way of using my phone is through Switch Control, which I turned on prior to locking my phone. So my phone is in the lock screen and I can't use the touchscreen because Switch Control is on, however; I can't use it to do anything because I didn't set any switches. I'm basically stuck on the lock screen and all I can do at the moment is turn the screen on/off via the button at the top of the phone and triple click the home button which shows a little menu with two options: Invert Colors and Switch Control, but I can't press anything using the screen because it got disabled with Switch Control being turned on and am stuck pressing these two buttons, the home button and lock button.

Sep 19, 2013 4:51 AM in response to MarkLSanaby Steve Nicholls,Mark,
Did you do a backup before installing iOS 7? If so here is what I'd suggest, get your iPhone connected to your computer and iTunes, select your iPhone and choose the Restore option where the update section is rather than the second section below, sorry can't think of exact wording, but it's directly to the right of the 'Check for update" button.
This should bascially put your phone back to factory settings, once completed just give it a try to make sure all is well - in fact while you're going through the intro process it'll ask if you want to setup as new iPhone or retrieve from a Backup if you want to restore from a backup straight away you can do this from here.
If you didn't backup right before installing iOS and you do carry out the process above then you will lose data that wasn't backed up since your last backup was completed.
Hope all goes well.

Sep 19, 2013 1:15 PM in response to Steve Nichollsby MarkLSana,I tried plugging in my phone to my computer and it says it can't connect to iTunes because I can't enter the passcode lock. I guess my phone turned into a paperwieght now because I can't even factory reset it. Truly stumped :/
Thanks for the help though Steve!

Oct 11, 2013 11:29 AM in response to MarkLSanaby Linda Menkhorst,I found the solution when Siri does work: activate Siri through home button: say turn assistive touch on, then everyhting is working again and you can put scanning on and remove the failure. Happy.

Mar 11, 2014 8:46 PM in response to MarkLSanaby radikg,you can try 'triple-click' Home button, it would turn off Accessibility, so you can return to normal usage of touchscreen.

May 16, 2014 2:06 PM in response to MarkLSanaby CevTheAmazingBoss,There is an easyer way to this. Switch control and Voice over can not both be on at the same time.So here are the steps on how to turn it off.
1. Go on siri (hold down home button)
2. Tell it to turn on voice over. (You can not tell it to turn off switch control)
3. Then Voice over will activate and Switch control will turn off. Now go back to siri and tell it to turn off Voice over.
Now that should have salved your problem.
Regarts,
Cleve
If you have siri locked there is another way.
This is an easier way. You do not have to set to factory defaults. By: Cleve
