What did you update? The system? Did you update the iWork applicatiosn too?

Suggest you upgrade to the latest possible version of OSX and upgrade Pages 09 to its latest possible version.

With some caveats depending what is the most recent OSX you can install.

Why update to the latest system version, Peter? Snow Leopard is a well functioning system.  If we could get more information from the OP there might be an esy solution to the problem.

    Hi

    Thanks everyone for the input.

I tried all this but nothing worked, then I have tried to reinstall pages from the Iwork 09 disc.

Then pages came up but now it i get this error message

Pages cannot be opened because of a problem

Check with the developer to make sure Pages works with this version of Mac OS X.  You may need to reinstall the application.  Be sure to install any available updates for hte application and Mac OS X.

    Hi Fruhulda

I have clicked on the apple on the top right and tried a software update and there was nothing to update.

    I have Work 09

Delete iWork using Yvans script from his box.com account

Install from your DVD and do the update which you can find here http://support.apple.com/downloads/#iwork

YOu don't need higher version than iWork 9.0.4 for Snow Leopard.
