Anyone having issues on Sprint after upgrading? I am now frequently dropping calls, and it seems that my signal strength is consistently lower.

This is all happening from my home office, which normally doesn't have a problem unless there's a tower issue. Of course, Sprint says there nothing wrong on their end and blames the iOS7 upgrade.

I have  AT&T with an iPhone 4S and I have noticed increased dropped calls since the upgrade. I know what my bars normally are in certain places and they seem lower thna normal (places I normally have 5, show as 3-4 now). I take the same trek into work every day and I am always on the phone on the way in for work. I know every spot along the way and wher eI woull lose a call and/or what the bars normally are. There has always been just one spot which I lose a call every time. I will alsways tell the caller I am about to lose them and will call right back, it is so consistent. Now I have noticed I lose a call in 2 additional spots, so now I drop the call 3 times on the way in instead of 1.

I also noticed text messages recieved while I am watthcing a movie or podcast make my volume distort afterwards. I have to either reply which makes it get better. If I dismiss, it will stay distorted until I puause and hit play on the poscast. This is using Downcast. I am not sure if it is their issue or ios 7's.

Lastly my calendar appoitnments are often missing in notificatioin center now.

Definitely has some bugs in this release.

I have SPRINT service and I am getting drop calls after drop calls in my own house since I've upgraded. I had horrible reception over the weekend after I upgraded last week Thursday. I am getting so frustrated I've been thinking of switching carriers.

Check your number signal strength and report back accordingly:

    http://www.simonblog.com/2011/12/01/how-to-show-iphone-signal-strength-in-number -instead-of-bars/

-106 is the low signal/no service

-47 to -90 is the normal range on the iPhone 4S.

The average signal in my area on Sprint 3G is -75

Having similar issues since upgrading to iOS7. I checked my signal strength and sure enough, I was between -115 and -118 on LTE.

I disabled LTE under Settings and now I'm sitting at -82. My priority is not dropping calls since I use wifi whenever possible. I'll report back if the issue continues but I hope this will clear up my drop call problem.

I don't think Sprint supports Voice over LTE yet, so your phone would switch radio modes automatically during a call.

Have you told Sprint about your calls being dropped?

Ah, thanks for the info. I have not called Sprint yet. I'm going to see if the change has any effect first. My Sprint service has been nearly issue free for years until the iOS7 upgrade.

I am having similar issues after iOS 7 update. I have noticed it happens only when my wifi is turned on. My signal strength goes to 1x and then I drop the call. As soon as I then off my wifi I can continue talking without issue. Standing in the same area. I did check my signal strength and it is -81. Zip code is 60404 and throughout the Chicago area.

    Chris, tell Sprint about it.

Voice calls on Sprint/VZ go over the 1X conection (not 3G) so what you are describing is a bit wonky.

Also, I have a Sprint i4S on iOS 7 with wifi on  and my calls don't drop.

I am having same issue.  Called Apple and they said no one else reporting issues.  Happens only since upgrade to iOS 7.  They suggested A T & T, but appears to be across the board.  Anyone figure it out???

What did AT&T say when you called them?  I have AT&T but I'm not experiencing the issue.

    Update on my OP.

I've called Sprint 5 times. They've stepped me through a number of network updates and also sent to me a Sprint AirWave device, which creates a cell "hot spot" in your house.

Since taking this action, I can hold a call longer but I'm still experiencing dropped calls. It's getting better each day. Sprint also said that my area is experiencing some major network upgrades and to please be patient. I just installed the AirWave this afternoon. I haven't had a long enough call to see the impact, but hoping it helps.

Finally, the last tech I spoke with was able to see on my account the days/time that I was under their minimum service coverage threshold, or something to that effect. She gave me a proactive $40 credit on my account, which was nice.
