Sep 3, 2013 3:35 PM in response to 19ricky67by randers4,Then you must be using iTunes Match. If so, this explains how to delete the song from your iTunes Match library: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4915.

Sep 3, 2013 11:36 PM in response to randers4by 19ricky67,Actually I already followed the instructions of deleting the tracks from iTunes Match: the songs now are hidden in iTunes Match, but are still in my device. Maybe I should upload them again in iTunes Match and delete them again following your instructions?

Sep 19, 2013 3:22 PM in response to randers4by John.A,I would very much like to delete a dozen items from iCloud that Apple has stuffed there. They show up in iTunes on my desktop computer. Apple support says to use iTunes Match to do this. But I have never signed up for iCloud, never activated iTunes Match, and never will. Can I just get Apple not to dump stuff on me that it somehow thinks I want, and remove stuff that's already there? These are not items that I have purchased. They are things like previews of lame TV series, etc.

Sep 19, 2013 10:11 PM in response to 19ricky67by michaelb3,I had this problem too but I just fixed it. Go into the menu that shows your device when connected in iTunes. The iPhone menu for example. There should be a checkbox labeled "Manually manage music and videos". Check the box, then click on the "On This Phone" tab, still in the iPhone menu. Now you should be able to manually delete any songs you don't want on your phone. Even those that seem to not show up in your library!

why?
Because the iTunes store keeps a permanent record of all your purchases, and allows you to redownload them in the future, if desired. They don't use any storage in your iCloud account; they are only in the iTunes store.

Oct 20, 2013 12:28 PM in response to 19ricky67by hurlyburly,I had the exact same problem but I have no Match account so I couldn't work out what was going on.

Oct 27, 2013 11:42 PM in response to randers4by Sywt,This seems does not work, I have deleted some albums, which are ripped from CD bit not purchased
, I checked it disappeared in my Apple Tv and iPad. Then last night, I started a new iTune library trying to updated some artwork that I can't done in my original iTune library (suggested by some user). Two things happen, first, when changed back to my original library, those deleted album reappear in the library; second, the old artwork returned after iTune Match updated.
The iCloud seems always keep the original songs and artwork and worked strangely and illogically; it does not just sync with your master iTune library.
Why? I am very frustrated!!!
