Unfortunatly there is no way around this problem other than changing your password. I was not aware that any Apple Services would allow a space in a password, as a general rule symbols and spaces are unacceptable on most sites. Fortunatly there is a way to change your password for all Apple Services in one go at this site; http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5624

I have the same problem (Win 7/iTunes 11.1) and this only surfaced with the last iTunes update. I've had a space in my various Apple passwords for more than three years. Like you, I can sign in and use every other part of the iTunes, purchase, download, etc.. Unfortunately, this is more sloppy work from Apple and your only choices are 1) To change your password; or 2) Wait for Apple to fix the inconsistancy, which might involve a forced pasword change anyway. I wouldn't hold your breath. I am still waiting for my podcasts to loose the universal date of Dec. 31, 2000. I've been waiting for a year on that fix. Next thing you know they'll launch a new product, without actually having the product available.
