Q: Itunes could not connect to the itunes store. An unknown error occurred ( 0x80090318)

Same with me when i upgraded itunes 10.6 to itunes 11.1.

Seems to just be that iTunes itself is flawed as PC is in all other ways runing beautifully.  Moving off off Apple seems the likely solution as these errors are continual and no support on the Apple websites.

Start--Accessories--Comand Prompt    and make right click and choose to run as administrator

type this command : netsh winsock reset

and then restart your computer and then every thing should work fine

the winsock reset didn't work for me 2 , could be that a good port forwarding could possibly solve the problem? maybe with a list of ports

i got a TP-Link td-w8961nd router and it seems that the itunes cant load radio too ...

Did you ever find a solution to the error code?  I tried all the suggestions as well and I still can't authorize my computer or access the itunes store.

Got to command promt but no adminstrator on right click..? 

can anyone help without having to remove itunes 11.1  which is a pain to say the least.... wish I'd read the feedback before upgrading to what looks like a real mess..?
