Some one edited my post. Let me add a few things back into it.
1. This app is now awful
2. How is a song/group list easier to use than a simple list of Artist->Album
3. This may be the worst change in ios7.
4. It's embarrassing that Apple made this change
5. It's even worse that Apple pays people to go through these discussions and edit them out to be "more friendly" to Apple.
This product is worse now. Seriously bad.
I have Match and want a refund because it is pointless to have a giant list of artists on my phone now.

I couldn't agree more. The day after I upgraded I went to the store to look at android phones. If they don't give me a more managable way to look through my music (ie the way it used to be) I am going to find an alternative.

A simple choice in settings to be able turn artwork on
or off is really all it needs and should have.
This is the only thing that I really don't like about iOS7,
however, it now seems that you can use Siri to command
the music app ("play album ***", "play playlist ****") now,
for what that is worth.
And as far as managing music, I use iTunes on my Mac
to do that anyway.
The podcasts app is useless. 75% of the time it won't play the podcast (and these are downloaded, synced to the phone podcasts). It adds nothing to the simple task of playing podcasts which was just fine in Music and makes it harder to listen to them.
And of course, Apple is deleting posts noting that it's difficult at best to listen to podcasts in iOS 7 now.

Yes, Apple is deleting proper posts that do not violate the ToS just to hide your opinion. Brilliant.
But, I use it all the time, and love it, and have yet to have a problem with it. Sooo, it's very useful to me, always plays my podcasts, added new features not found in the Music app, and makes it easier to listen to.
Ironically, a YEAR since the podcast app has been released, why is this an issue with iOS7?
It was released with iOS6.
When you select an artist it brings up a list of songs grouped by album.
For an artist with 1 or 2 albums this is fine.
When you have artists in which you have 6 or more albums, this means a ton of scrolling around (inefficiently) looking for said album. I have many artists with over 10 albums and I assure you it is not trivial to just pick or find the album.
You may say 'just go to the album section', well I say that's not the standard way.
Typically I, and I'll guess most, troll around and see an artist they want to listen to.
Previously you click on the artist and see a nice, simple list of the albums. Pick one and you're off.
Now, you pick it and have to scroll around to find the album.
There's no concise list of album by artist. That, without question, is the simplest and easiest way to see and use the data.
Now, I find it much more cumbersome and way less efficient.
And honestly, it's dumb.
I get if this were an optional view, but it's not.
I think the engineer designing this never had an artist with more than 2 or 3 albums.
Anything beyond that is challenging.
And I realize people are saying 'just search for it'. My response is that if you are having to resort to that, your design, layout and organization is a failure.
I'm not complaint about podcasts. I use downcast and it's an amazing app. The apple podcast app was terrible when it came out, and is now workable. But still not nearly as good as downcast.
And yes, apple did reword my post. The ripped out any part that was negative about the new music app.

I think I see what you are saying. Actually, there is a bug, it appears. In the Music Settings there is an option for Group Albums by Artist. This may be what you are looking for, but it appears it may be broken. I do not believe that this is a new setting, but rather one that is not working as it has in the past.

My response was not to you, regarding the podcasting. That was to someone else who was complaining about the Podcast app and that it has been removed from the Music app since iOS6 was released.

Radio is another useless app. Despite always having a Wi-Fi connection, I'm always getting the "Network Unavailable" message. I have to manually quit the Music app and relaunch to get it to work. Bug #10535 on Apple's to-do list.
