I had a new hard drive put in my iMac, and reinstalled everything from scratch. When I try to get itunes to use the folder I've always used as my itunes library (an an external drive), it says: "An iTunes library file could not be found in the folder iTunes. Please choose a different folder."
Anybody know what I need to do here?
Is the external folder name iTunes or is it named iTunes media?
Is there an
- iTunes library.itl file
- iTunes library.xml file
- iTunes media folder
and a few other folders/files in this folder on the external?
Thanks Chris, no none of those files seem to be in there! And it's just called itunes. There are a series of folders in there, titled:
Automatically Add to iTunes
I have to say my iTunes had been acting very pokey, lots of spinning wheels etc. Maybe I have to recreate the entire library somehow? Its a really big folder, more than 1TB...
