iOS 7 not compatible with Sony Personal Audio Docking System or Remote

I recently upgraded to iOS 7 and now some of the play features won't work with my iPhone. The play/pause feature and back/forward buttons won't work on both the remote and docking system. The iPhone will still charge and I can turn the volume up and down but the other buttons do not work anymore. I have tested the docking station with my iPod Nano and all the buttons work just fine. I have tried downloading the D-Sappli app for Sony devices but this does not help the situation. It will be really annoying if I have to get a new docking station just because of an Apple upgrade compatibility issue. Any tips?

I don't think that buying a new docking station will even help. I have 3 docking stations around my hime and it is the same with them all. Although there is a very cheap brand of dock in my workplace and it seems to work just fine with it but none if mine work anymore. As you said, it charges and the volume controls work but just no sound.

I actually figured it out and it's so incredibly simple I feel silly now ha ha ha. I was having issues with control center not working and wouldn't play music so I turned my phone off/on and that fixed both issues! Now my phone works with the docking station and remote and control center works again too.

I own two 4S phones, one with the iso6 and the other with the new iso7 update. My docking

station is a Klipsch unit that works fine (normal) with the iso6. However when I dock the phone

with the new update it does not play thru the docking station at all. It also produces a phone

message when first docked "This accessory may not be supported"

Not sure how to correct the problem????

Well I managed to solve my problem. The docking station I tend to use most has two docks my sisters iphone worked in it even after the ios7 update so as she docked her iphone I also docked mine next to it and switched channels from her iphone to mine and mine started to work. This somehow allowed it to work with a second docking station downstairs. But the third one did not work until I docked the iphone and turned the iphone off and back on again whilst the dock was switched on the entire time. Good luck .

Have you tried resetting the phone, this is not the same (possibly) as turning the phone off/on. Hold the sleep/wake & home buttons down for 10s, phone should reboot. I had similar issues with my cheapy Sony dock and this is what worked for me.

Just a thought,

Is apple ever going to address this major update issue? The whole reason I used a docking station is that the screen and power button are non repairable on my device. Used to have device constantly plugged in to my sony dock station. Went to add some new tunes and unfortunately agreed to update. Now I am the proud owner of a brick. Re-formatted multiple times and wiped itouch through itunes.

Unfortunately can not jailbreak as need power button to function for that.

So now I have a brick, two months out of warranty, until apple address this update which wiped out sony dock station capability. If anyone has found a solution let me know. Only thing I've seen is the play the song before connecting it, which doesn't work if you are using the dock station to get a partially damaged itouch to play.

Teach me to click update...

After reading several postings here, I tried turning off my iphone 5s and turned it on and did not woe for me, but then I tryed again turning off the phone AND unplugged the Dock system (kid of to reset it as well) for about 1 minute. Turned both the phone and dock back on and it worked just fine! I recommend you to download the app as well.

Good luck!
