Jun 6, 2012 5:23 PM in response to kontehsanaby Ralph Landry1,Locked in what way? Forgotten passcode? If so, connect to iTunes on the computer you normally use with it and have a backup, start in reovery mode by starting iTunes, connect the USB end of the cable, hold the home button on the iPhone and attach the 30-pin connector to the iPhone. When the iPhone appears, select and go into restore mode restoring from a backup.

May 3, 2013 4:27 PM in response to Margaret211by Ralph Landry1,Did you make a backup in iCloud? Since you don't have a computer, if there is no iCloud backup all content will be lost. When your iPhone is passcode-disabled, there is no option but recovery mode and then restoration. Going into recovery mode erases all content. Restore restores it to factory condition. You then have to use a backup to regain your personal content.
Bottom-line: if you lockup an iDevice due to forgotten passcode and do not have an existing backup, you will lose all content you had on that iDevice.
