You should only be prompted for the password in the future when you try to turn Find My iPhone off, which is a new security measure in iOS 7 and cannot be disabled.  Is it continuing to prompt you for the password?

Go to:  Settings > General > Passcode Lock

You can turn off passcode lock there.  However, it's a very, very bad idea to not use a passcode in a mobile device.  Without a passcode someone that steals or finds your device will instantly have enough information about you to take over your life!!!   Apple should be applauded for forcing this issue.

A better suggestion would be to set the"auto-lock" setting to 5 or 10 minutes.  The default 2 min. is indeed very short.
