I have had quite a few issues with my iPhone 4 when using it as a music player in my car.  My car is a 2010 Honda with a USB port in the console and is designed to support iPhone connectivity.

Here are the issues:

1. I will be listening to music and all of a sudden the music stops and an error message appears on my radio display stating that I have an unsupported version.  This is false because I listen to music off of my phone all the time.  Sometimes I'll have been driving and listening to music for 30 minutes and the error message appears, other times it happens less than one minute into listening to music.  I usually have to unplug my iPhone and reconnect it multiple times in order to get it working again.  I have changed out the cable connecting my iPhone to my car and it still happens so I know it's not the cable.  Honda has checked my radio and cable and they didn't find anything wrong with that either.

2. Sometimes the song numbering doesn't make sense.  My display will read that I am listening to song number 4329 of 1.  The number 4329 is one I just made up, it varies from time to time but it's always a bigger number in front of a small number.

3. Music doesn't stop playing when I answer the phone.  This has only happened a few times, although once it was when a family member called me from the scene of a car accident they had just been in.  I had to completely shut down the iPhone and restart it in order to be able to call my family member back and get the details of the accident without having music from the built in MP3 player play in my ear.

I have brought these issues up with Apple and Honda and noone can seem to offer any solutions.  Has anyone else had similar issues and found a resolution?
