Yes, thank you! I tried just restarting and deleting my paired data from both devices, but it did not end up working. After a hard reset and deleting my paired data from both devices everything began working as it should again.

I am having an issue with the bluetooth on the iphone 5s (IOS7) and the audio in my car. I am able to sync the bluetooth on my phone to the car and that works just fine- so I can make calls etc...However, I am unable to sync itunes to my cars audio system. I have a lexus RX 450H- 2010. I never had any issues with my prior iphone- 4.
I have already deleted all of the prior phones stores on my cars and done a hard start on the phone again. Any suggestions?

New iPhone 5s with iOS7 would not find BMW X3 Bluetooth.
Turned off phone and deleted devices from BMW. Turned phone back on and went through "add new phone" procedure. It connected and is working fine now.

I had the same problem with my new 2014 Subaru Legacy after updating to iOS 7. All I did was have the iPhone 4S forget the car. I turned off Bluetooth on the iPhone, then turned it on again. When I started the car (remaining in park), and put on the Bluetooth audio, the phone found the car, I entered the passcode and both audio streaming and hands-free phone and all steering wheel controls work. I didn't need to do anything with the car.

I have a similar problem. But slightly different symptoms. It pairs with my BMW infotainment console, but doesn't stream music. I can see the track info on the screen but can't stream music. My wife's iPhone 5 with iOS 7 works. Mine worked too ( even after upgrading to iOS 7) but suddenly stopped working (actually not suddenly, but My phone shut off because of low battery and since then it's been behaving this way)

This worked! Much appreciated! I don't have my truck right now to try it, but it did work for my Jaybirds! I, like many, unpaired the device and "forget" it from the phone. The trick was, after having done that, to power off the phone or soft reset as you said! Once rebooted and re-paired, It worked! and I am almost certain that this will remedy any bt control issues with ios 7. The key is powering off! THANK YOU!

I did as advised.
deleted on iphone 4, deleted on car. switched both off.
turned back on
Can now control on steering wheel on Merecedes slk.
I do find it annoying though that with io7 I HAVE to play podcasts through the buggy software.

I have a 2013 Volvo XC 70 and just the same problem as in the original message: music is playing but I lost all control via steering-wheel after updating to iOS 7. This is potentially dangerous and should not happen. Hopefully we will be heard!

I've done the process that has been posted on here and it has not worked. Does anybody know how to resolve the problem with a 2012 ford fiesta? The other thing is that even plugging in headphones, you cannot change track or pause in the control centre when the phone is locked.
Suprisingly, my 2012 Focus works without a hitch via Bluetooth
for phone as well as music on a quick check. Primarily listen to
music via USB as I don't want my music ruined by Bluetooth
compression, which by the way works just fine via steering wheel
controls as well a voice commands.
Have you tried removing Bluetooth pairing and pair again?
Also, with the Sync system, have you tried the old standby
of pulling fuse to kill power on head unit and powering backup
and then pair fresh?
There was also one other trick that helped on some Sync systems,
and that was to turn off WiFi.

I made the mistake of upgrading to ios7 too....and now the audio steering wheel controls are not functioning. The Bluetooth connects and my iPhone plays the music, but to forward, reverse or increase the volume, it does not work. Additionally, the music will not automatically play upon starting the car, the car pairs with the iPhone, but I must manually press play on the iPhone. So much for hands-free...
