Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>scroll down to the Calendars section then tap on Sync and set it to all events.

Try this solution from cheonweb - "from Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>scroll down to the Calendars section then tap on Sync and set it to all events"

    Believe this should work.

I figured out I HAVE TO HAVE iCloud turned on in order to see this setting. I really didn't want to do this as I have had issues with iCloud loading apps I didn't want. So I turned all of it off except the calendar. Unfortunately I can't get all the old appointments back.

I am having the same problem and am curious as to whether you were able to get this fixed?  I try to use my Reminders app since the calendar isn't working, but it's the same way!

If you are using the iCloud calendar you have to have the + button. Otherwise try to reset your iPhone.

Hold down the Power and Home buttons together until Apple logo appears. Release and wait to reboot.

Did you get your calendar issue (deleting old entries) resolved?  I am having the same issue...only keeps calendar entries 30 days (except for repeating entries).

Go into your settings and under calendar where it says SYNC you can choose event 2 weeks back, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or all. All will give you everything you have done.

That is just one of the complaints I have about ios7 .... I used the monthly view a lot on my iPhone, but it is no longer available, even though it is on iPod.  Hopefully the geniuses at Apple will recognize the error of their ways, and correct this oversight in a future update .......

Tap the month name for month view, tap the magnifier for day view.
