Q: I can't access Pages(beta) on iCloud.

When I sign in iCloud, Pages does show up. But when I click the Pages icon, it let me sign in again. And when I sign in again, I just remain at the home page of iCloud instead of get into Pages. Anybody can tell me how to access Pages in this situation? I have my graduate thesis and many important notes in it. Thanks.

Can you not access your stuff using the Pages app on your macbook via File > Open instead of trying to do it with your browser?

iOS devices cannot access iCloud.com via a browser, only via an app like pages.

I didn't use IOS devices to access Pages. I use my macbook to log in to Pages in iCloud. Bounced back to the log in page whenever I carefully entered my Apple ID and password.

Why don't you use the pages app on your MacBook?

I have exactly the same problem as yuyangfromny. It started on September 21st, perhaps the same time as yuyangfromny's problem started. I can't log in to iwork beta. I get bounced right back to the log-in overlay screen. It's not my password since I typed it to get into iCloud in the first place. None of my apps from my phone, ipad, or Mac are syncing with icloud right now (iWork apps, Tap Forms, NoteSuite). Other parts of iCloud seem to be working fine (find phone, mail).

I think you are missing the question/problem. There is a loop for many logging into iWork via web. No one said they can't access through their apps on either OSX or iOS. Just logging into the beta apps places one in loop.

Yes, but I don't understand why that matters in this case.  The OP says he needs to access his "graduate thesis and many important notes".  Why does he have to use his browser to do that?  Why can't he just use his Pages app?

In my case, I can access files on the machine that made them. So I can work with a Pages document created on my Mac if I am using my Mac. However it does not sync (which is going to lead to some problems after this is cleared up since I worked for two days on the same book on three different machines before I noticed that things are not syncing). If I had created a document on a computer in the university lab and then tried to access it at home on my personal Mac, it would not show up just as documents on my phone are not syncing with my ipad or my mac. Perhaps yuyangfromny can get his or her files from the machine they were created on? I hope so (as a thesis and dissertation advisor). But there is no iCloud syncing taking place and the iWork beta at iCloud.com just keeps tossing you in a loop when you try to access it from a browser. Other apps which rely on iCloud are also not syncing at all (Tap Forms for instance).

I don't have Pages app on my mac. Not long ago, I received an email from Apple saying that I can use iWork beta in iCloud. And I just use it online and it's really convenient. Do I need to install Pages app on my mac in order to access it in iCloud? How come that this problem didn't happen before Sept. 20...

Of course I don't really know the answer to your question but given my current experience, I don't think installing Pages (mac, phone, etc) anywhere will help you. I think we will all have to hope that Apple clears this problem up.

    Thank you for clarifying that.

I do recommend that you acquire it and at least see whether you can access your documents.  It may not be possible until Apple fixes the currrent problem, but it cannot hurt to try and the cost is very modest.

More generally, I strongly recommend that you not compose a graduate thesis on a beta web app.  Nobody really knows what sort of future this thing has.  You should definitely use a real word processor like Pages for OS X for such a project. And if the people who will be grading it are using MS Word, then you should use that app instead of Pages, to minimize the risk of compatibility problems between the two apps, which are very different.
