Sep 23, 2013 10:20 PM in response to Chenzo33by léonie,Are you signed into the App Store on your new iPhone with the AppleID you used to set it up?
This page http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/built-in-apps/ (scroll down to the bottom) states, that you can download iPhoto, iMovie, and the iWorks apps directly from the App Store to your iPhone for free. So just try it - sign into the App Store on your iPhone and check, if the iApps are waiting for you to be downloaded for free.

Sep 26, 2013 11:02 PM in response to Tmlaquiby macbookuser777,Thank you! Your advice just saved me hours. one apple rep said that the phone had to be set up as new on iTunes (versus restoring phone from a backup).

Sep 26, 2013 11:09 PM in response to Tmlaquiby macbookuser777,Go to https://supportprofile.apple.com/ and register your iphone with Apple. Then the iLife and iWork's Apps will become free in store. I made the mistake at initial set up of clicking that I did not want to register my iPhone. If you did likewise, then follow that link.
